Title: Lucha Underground
Post by: Apparition on February 26, 2017, 08:33:01 AM
The first two seasons of Lucha Underground are coming to Netflix on Wednesday, March 15th (https://fansided.com/2017/02/24/wwe-news-braun-strowman-raw-luke-harper-aj-styles-battle-royal-smackdown-live/).

Quote
Lucha Underground premiered back in October of 2014 on the EL Rey Network, and since it burst onto the scene, it has taken the professional wrestling world by storm. As more and more viewers began to follow along with the unique product, it garnered more and more attention from distributing outlets — streaming giant Netflix in particular. Recently it was announced that the promotion would be appearing on the most popular streaming service in the world, we just didn’t know exactly when.

Now we do know. The Netflix releases for March were recently announced, and on the list you can see that on March 15 you will be able to watch all the amazing Lucha Underground action from seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 is currently still ongoing, so there’s obviously no definitive date for when you’ll be able to catch up on the latest season.

With Lucha Underground appearing solely on El Rey to this point, while people have been flocking to it as they can, they haven’t really been able to reach a very broad audience. Obviously, things definitely change in that regard with Netflix now distributing their content. There are far more subscribers with the access to Netflix than there are to the El Rey Network, so this deal can ultimately end up going a long way with expanding the viewership and keeping the upstart promotion going for a long time.

I look forward to finally seeing it.

Oooh!  That'll be good.  I've seen bits and pieces, but I'd like to see the whole thing.

I watched the first episode tonight.  It was okie.  I could have done without the acting bits between the wrestling matches as it was even more fake than WWE.

The acting is goofy, but its wrestling.

I think the actual wrestling looked better.

Lucia Underground that is.
