/>It feels like every other live action thing he has done.  Like the ship and the aliens though.

Oh, didn't know this was already here.

Anyway, they told Seth Macfarlane couldn't do the next Star Trek series, so he made his own.

This is better than the trailer made it out to be.

Started watching this last night. I got about 5 minutes in before I stopped and went to do something else. Not sure why to be honest.

Might give it another go. If the first 5 minutes are anything to go by I am surprised the Paramount lawyers have not been on to them with a cease and desist. Parody is one thing, but this looked exactly like Startrek.

Okay so just finished watching the first episode. Was that even a parody? Seemed like an above average episode of TNG.

I quite enjoyed it once it started. Probably because there weren't that many Seth MacFarlane type jokes. So not what I was expecting at all.

Startrek without teleportation.

I felt the same way.

I've only watched the first episode, but the humor wasn't far from some of the Next Generation "corniness." The characters are a bit more colorful, but not in a Family Guy sense ... at least not yet.

This may just be my Star Trek as I have no plans to pay for a CBS All Access subscription.

From what I understand Seth Mcfarland is a major trekkie, so its not terribly surprising

I liked it. But it wasn't as funny as the trailer made it out to be which isn't necessarily a bad thing. They could just make it a regular sci-fi series with some humor in it.

I really liked the 2 new alien characters, the super-strong girl and the Klingon-looking dude. Hopefully it'll be  interesting to watch their characters grow with the show. Maybe we'll get more from the robot guy next episode.

I liked the opening with the log and the ship flying with the music.  That's fucking Star Trek for me.

It was ok... Felt a little too fan-made for me imo. Like the costumes look like costumes, not uniforms? and the robot guy looks like something out of TOS or a low budget fan video.

So I've just watched episode 2. Do not try and convince me that is a parody. Sure there are jokes, but they are not even really Startrek/scifi jokes, they are just sitcom jokes. Only the second episode but I am warming to it.
